Equipment

  • Mixing bowl
  • Muffin tin
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Spoon or spatula
  • Oven

Ingredients

  • 1 pear diced
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup almond butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp baking powder

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F). Lightly grease your muffin tin or line it with paper liners.
  • Mix all ingredients: In a bowl, combine the oats, diced pear, honey, almond butter, egg, and baking powder. Stir gently until everything is well mixed.
  • Fill muffin cups: Spoon the batter evenly into the muffin cups, filling each about 3/4 full.
  • Bake: Place the muffin tin in the oven and bake for 15–20 minutes, or until the muffins turn golden and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  • Cool and serve: Let the muffins cool before serving. For younger toddlers, you can mash them a bit to make eating easier.

Notes

Storage: Store muffins in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. You can also freeze them for up to 2 months — just thaw and warm before serving.
Age Tips: For babies under 1 year, mash the muffins well or serve crumbs mixed with yogurt. Older toddlers can enjoy these as finger food.
Allergy Substitutions: Use maple syrup instead of honey for babies under 1 or if avoiding honey. Swap almond butter with sunflower seed butter if nut allergies are a concern.
Nutrition Boost: Add a tablespoon of ground flaxseed or chia seeds into the batter for extra omega-3 and fiber. You can also add a pinch of cinnamon for warmth and flavor.
Parent Tip: These muffins are great to bake in batches for easy snacks during busy days. Perfect warm or at room temperature!
