Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup broccoli florets chopped
  • 2 slices whole wheat bread
  • 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tbsp butter

Instructions
 

  • Steam the broccoli until soft. For younger babies, mash or finely chop the broccoli before adding it to the sandwich.
  • Butter one side of each slice of bread. This makes the outside crispy and golden once toasted.
  • Layer the broccoli and cheddar cheese. Place them between the unbuttered sides of the bread so the filling melts together.
  • Cook in a skillet over medium heat. Toast until both sides are golden brown and the cheese has melted.
  • Let cool before serving. Cut into strips, triangles, or fun shapes to make it easier and more appealing for toddlers.

Notes

Storage Tips: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days. Reheat in a skillet or toaster oven for best texture. Freezing is not recommended since bread may get soggy.
