Equipment

  • Blender
  • Small bowl
  • Spoon

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup blueberries
  • 1/2 cup chopped spinach washed well
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt plain or vanilla
  • 1/2 cup milk dairy or plant-based
  • 1 tbsp honey optional, do not use for babies under 1

Instructions

  • Combine all ingredients in a blender. Add the blueberries, spinach, Greek yogurt, milk, and honey (if using). Blend until completely smooth.
  • Pour the smoothie into a small bowl. The texture should be thick and creamy—perfect for spoon-feeding or self-feeding with toddler spoons.
  • Add toppings if your little one enjoys them. Try extra blueberries, toddler-safe granola, or a sprinkle of chia seeds for crunch and added nutrition.
  • Serve immediately. For younger toddlers, let the bowl cool slightly if ingredients were cold. For younger babies, you may want to thin the texture with more milk or mash ingredients before blending.

Notes

Storage Tips: Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for up to 24 hours. You can also freeze in small silicone molds or ice cube trays for toddler-sized smoothie pops!
Age Modifications: Thinner texture for younger babies (6–9 months); thick spoonable texture for older toddlers. Omit granola or chunky toppings for early eaters.
Allergy-Friendly Options: Substitute with dairy-free yogurt and plant-based milk if needed. Always skip honey for babies under 1 year old.
Nutrition Boosts: Add a spoonful of ground flaxseed, chia seeds, avocado, or nut butter for extra healthy fats and fiber.
Busy Parent Tip: Pre-pack smoothie ingredients into freezer bags for grab-and-blend ease on hectic mornings.
